As of now, we are not accepting international orders of trade sales. International orders are retail only, restricted to Canada. When we get our third party production in order (currently scheduled for Mid September, '09), we will set that system up.
We use regular mail to Canada as we find this most effective in minimizing Customs import delays. Neither of these carriers provides tracking or insurance of shipments to Canada. The high cost of airmail to Canada obliges us to add 10% to all Canadian orders to cover this extra cost.
If you require insurance, add a note to the Order Form.
Your credit card is charged when the books are shipped.
We do not take any responsibility for taxes or resulting clearance charges levied on import of your order.
GST is applicable on the import of books. In most cases, no tax is charged on small packages. The Canadian Post Office does on occasion impose a C$5 clearance charge in addition to the applicable GST.
Schedule VII of Part IX of the Excise Tax Act creates consumption or sales tax lists items that will be non-taxable when imported to Canada. Section 7 of this schedule eliminates the GST on goods valued at not more than $20 and sent by mail or courier to a recipient in Canada, other than goods prescribed by regulation. Regulations set out four categories of imported goods that will be taxable, even if they are valued at less than $20: Books, newspapers, magazines, periodicals and any similar printed publications...
For more information on the above, please contact your local Tax Services Office.

As the items are sent directly to you from our US corporation, the GST taxing point arises when the goods arrive in Australia. You, the customer, are the importer of the goods for the purposes of GST. There is indication from the ATO that GST will not be collected:
For your future reference please note that some importations into Australia will not be subject to GST. ... The concession is available for goods sent by the postal system with a value not exceeding $1000. This is known as the 'screen free' concession.
We do not believe that GST is applicable on the import of books. The ATO has, at times, expressed otherwise. Books are supposed to be untaxed by The Berne Convention. In most cases, no tax is charged on small packages.
For the above reasons, we do NOT add GST to your order and do NOT provide a GST invoice.
We are not experienced at shipping worldwide. If you live in a country other than listed above, you may wish to deal with a more experienced vendor such as Amazon.com, Barnes & Noble, etc.
We use USPS Global Priority Mail on most shipments. Delivery is by your local mail carrier/postal service. This method is not tracked or insured. If you require insurance, please add a note in the comments section of the Order Form.
Your credit card is charged only when the books are shipped. Many books can be shipped the next working day after you place your order.
